Michael Daniels

This designer uses a particular method called Mokume Gane, in Japanese meaning “wood-grain metal”. This is an ancient and difficult technique of fusing layers of precious and semi-precious metals until they can be worked as one. Different metals in the layers form patterns in contrasting colors, and the result is a single piece of intricate design, with distinctive water or wood-grain markings. Each pattern is created from several metals, to produce a particular design and style.
